OK Humane Society: Hero Awards Gala

I had the privilege of photographing the OK Humane Society Hero Awards Gala at the beautiful Skirvin Hotel a few weeks ago. I always get a bit anxious when I'm going to photograph a new location and especially with a group I haven't met before. I was so impressed by how warm and inviting the staff and volunteers were. Everything was so beautiful and organized. 

My favorite part of the Gala was of course meeting all of the animal and human heroes. I should have worn waterproof mascara! Their stories were so touching.

This is one of the hero award winners! This sweet dog rescued this little girl from a snake attack! They're best friends - obviously.
